Rod Fraser set up and organised another fantastic Charity Day in aid of our chosen Charity the Canine Partners on July 2nd
The weather was absolutely glorious and it was a great shame that a third of the entered sides with drew at the last minute creating various issues and ultimately hurting the Charity. It is sadly likely that as a result of all these withdrawals every year this event may not run in 2019.
Century & Woodcock Park proved excellent hosts and the day raised £394.
Pinner came first with 18 points and Century 2nd with 12
History of the Event
Originally Set up as Hospital Sunday all the local clubs would keep the first Sunday in July free to have a money spinning event to boost the coffers of local Hospitals.
The day now is set up as the Presidents Charity day and local clubs are invited to part take in events to raise money for each years Presidential Charity, currently this is the Canine Partners.
Next season if the event is held it will be on Sunday July 1st , the Associations Officers look forward to welcoming all that partake in the day, PLEASE ENCOURAGE YOUR CLUBS MATCH SECRETARY TO TRY AND KEEP THIS DATE FREE.
